REFERENCES: Most of the harvest of “Kajime” is used for food in China, Japan and Korea, where it is boiled with soy sauce. E. cava, called edible brown seaweed, is abundantly produced in Korea. It has been widely used as an ingredient in food, animal feed and fertilizers. Ecklonia species possess various activities such as antioxidants, antibacterial, anti-diabetic and anti-inflammatory.
