REFERENCES: “Arame” is used for preparation of miso soup, nori-jam, salads, and seaweed powder for various foods in the Japanese cuisine; used also as food in Korea. Crude Phlorotannin extracts of E. bicyclis reduces hyperglycemia and inflammation. Presence of dieckol, 8, 8'-bieckol, fucofuroeckol, zeaxanthin in CPEb extracts. CPEb regulated inflammatory gene expression.
